The modern, civilized man has pretty much lost its natural connection to mother Earth. We live in cities, man-made spaces basically our entire live and are constant listening to the soundscape of Anthrophony. In the SOUND OF NATURE SERIES, it is all about the sound of Nature. I try to capture the sound of natural environments, biotopes, wildlife and different natural materials. Great care is benign given to capture those songs as pure and clean as possible, free from man made noises. I’m constantly pushing the boundaries to deliver the most authentic and expressive nature recordings.
Flowing Water 02 is the second release in the series and radically expands the palette of sounds found in the first release in terms of tonal variation and format flexibility. Within the 126 recordings, the user will find an abundant variety of different natural flowing water sounds. From tiny gurgling watercourses, babbling brooks and gently bubbling forest streams to vast European rivers, turbulent rapids and roaring waterfalls, it features a wide variety of unique sounds that attempt to represent the 1000 voices of flowing water. You will find mostly close, some medium and a few distant perspective recordings with precise distance decryptions in the metadata. This collection is the perfect tool for natural & dynamic ambience construction. To maximize production value, great care has been taken to deliver the cleanest recordings possible, where man-made sounds and birdsong is reduced to a minimum.
This release comes in two versions:
- Regular stereo recordings that are ready to use inside the project.
- Native DMS and decoded 5.0 surround recordings. The reason to offer raw DMS format and decoded surrounds multi-wave files is to give the user a “ready-to-use” drag & drop file with the decoded 5.0 files and at the same time give him the opportunity to use the native DMS files, in case that he needs more out-put format flexibility (Quad, 7.1 etc.).

| Additional Notes: | Your download package contains all audio files in lossless .wav-format and a docs-folder with the metadata sheets, a EULA and the readme file. This Product is UCS compatible. All metadata and file naming has been changed regarding that standard. Filenames are build of CatID_FXname_VendorID_LibraryID. If possible, all sounds are been sorted by the new CatID conventions. A VendorCatID is only used if further differentiation is required. The newly added UserCatID is an iXML-field, that can be used by each customer. More info about UCS: https://universalcategorysystem.com What is DMS and how to use it? DMS stands for double-mid-side and describes a recording standard for microphone arrays. It consists of a cardioid or hypercardioid in the center facing to the front, a figure of eight mics positioned vertically (like in an MS array) that records the side signal and a third microphone (cardioid or hypercardioid) also positioned in line facing to the rear. The membranes of the front and back mic need to be aligned in the exact center position of the fig-8 mic capsule. This results in a 3 channel multi-wav recording that gives the user lots of options for decoding the signal into various output formats. I recommend the free Schoeps DMS Plugin for decoding: https://schoeps.de/en/products/accessories/accessories-surround-3d/accessories-double-ms/plugin-double-ms-tool/double-ms-plugin-2018.html This plugin expects as input channel order: ch01 = Front, ch02= Side, ch03= Back. Thats the channel-order used in this product for the DMS files, so that you can drag-&-drop the files into an earlier created 5.1 Surround-Channel and insert the Schoeps DMS plugin and select a decoding preset for the surround channel (5.1, 4.0, etc.). |

Clean And Detailed Recordings, Birdsong Reduced To A Minimum:
To reduce man-made sounds and birdsong, I went to remote place and recorded in winter and night (whenever possible), to get the cleanest recordings possible that will be great production value for every editor.
Precise And Universally Compatible Metadata Following The USC-Standard.
Audio metadata can be viewed using some audio programs and database tools. This makes it much easier to find and manage sound effects. We use a professional standard of metadata so that every user gets the maximum benefit from it.
