Raphael Dubois (55) ist auf der Flucht und sieht in Ute seine einzige Möglichkeit seine Unschuld zu beweisen - aber ist er wirklich unschuldig?

An old, worn photo album - Laini had certainly not wished for her twelfth birthday. Not even real subjects can be seen on some blurry photos. But after all, it comes from their parents from Africa and is thus an important link to their origins. She has already thrown countless bottle items into the Rhine, but never received an answer except for this album. Although her adoptive parents Henning and Anni are trying to make their start in a new life as easy as possible, the girl still feels lonely in a strange environment. That's where this peculiar gift comes in handy, because when you take a closer look Laini discovers numbers and strange-sounding words on the pages. What do they mean? Are they encrypted messages from their parents? Together with her new friends Paul and Michael she tries to solve the riddle and embarks on a journey of discovery through Wiesbaden and into her own past.
